Emotion
The owner noticed the waviness first, not the new work. Said it looked like the room she remembered. I liked that. Some jobs are good because nobody can see where you've been. Drove home quietly pleased, which is less impressive than triumphant and a bit more durable.
Mind
Measurements checked, paperwork done, tools counted. I took one photo of the light for myself, with permission, not another picture proving the sash was square. Our future window seat is still a spreadsheet away. This job reminded me what I want it to feel like.
Body
Forearms were tired by the last fitting. Wind had kept me properly alert carrying the glass, and I could feel the effort once it was done. Took the pads off and sat a minute before packing. The old window put a warm, uneven stripe across the backs of my hands.
