Body
Dry enough to get outside with the grandson after tea and he wanted bubbles, lovely till I found I couldn't unscrew the bloody lid, hands been in and out of water all day and that thumb doesn't like a thin little top. Husband opened it without a word, which was sensible of him. Once we got going I was blowing so hard I went a bit light headed, lad shouting bigger ones nanny as if I was holding something back. Sat on garden chair and let him have a go, could feel my shoulder easing down instead of being up by my ear. He tipped half the bottle onto his shoes, so that was the grand finale.
Mind
Thinking about what to leave permanently at the caravan so we don't take half the house every time, because husband says just buy another kettle and be done but it isn't the kettle we forget, it's glasses and slippers and whatever he put in the wrong bag. I know what people mean by make a list, I have MADE a list, trouble is I then put things somewhere safe before we leave. Might get a box that stays by the door with all the bits in it, except the grandson will have his cars in there by Friday. Could take the cars too, probably more use at the seaside than the three umbrellas we keep carrying.
Emotion
Woman with the grey car said she hadn't come lately because I'd repeated something she'd told me about her daughter, and I said I'd only mentioned it to one person, which apparently wasn't the defence I thought it was. Felt proper mardy then, she made it sound like I stand there collecting trouble for entertainment. But she was upset and I didn't like that either, she's been coming years. Told her I was sorry and gave the mats another going over because I didn't know where to put myself. Can't charge less, that would look worse. Been unusually quiet on the forecourt since, boss asked if I was ill.
