Body
Had lunch sitting on the floor of our room today, back against the bed, because both the girls were out and there was no need to finish before somebody wanted my place. The rice was still hot. I could feel how hungry I was after the first few mouthfuls, not just empty stomach but that weak feeling in my arms going away slowly. At work I mostly notice when the plate is finished. Here I took some more and sat with my legs straight afterwards, toes loose instead of curled inside the work shoes. The fan was making one knee cold and the other was in the sunlight. I stayed there until it was time to get ready for the second shift.
Emotion
One of the girls in our room copied the way a customer called me madam and then snapped his fingers at me, and I laughed so much I had to tell her to stop. I had done the same voice earlier, but hearing her get it exactly right made the whole table come back, the man's face and his very important glass of water. Then suddenly I was upset, not crying, just not wanting to make that voice again. I know they were laughing with me only. She asked if I was angry with her and I said no, truly no. We watched our serial after that. I was glad she left the funny part alone without asking me to explain the rest.
Mind
In the drama I am watching again, I know the man will return to the woman, so I keep noticing all the little things they put in before he leaves. The first time I thought he was simply cruel. Now I am finding reasons for every sentence because I already know the ending. I wonder if the story is actually better this time or if I am doing half the work for it. At the restaurant I also decide what a regular will order before they speak, and sometimes I am wrong but remember only when I got it right. Anyway I still dislike the scene where she waits in the rain. Even if he comes back, she could wait somewhere with a roof.
