went to the pool with my little brother and apparently i cannot do one underwater handstand anymore without getting water all the way up my nose, he rated mine a two 😭
actually felt so nice being in cool water instead of standing on the blacktop telling everyone to stop running, my shoulders were down for once and i could feel the sun on the bits sticking out
we kept racing to the steps and i was properly out of breath which is embarrassing because his legs are tiny
came home hungry enough to eat the leftover rice cold while mom was making dinner, hair still dripping down the back of my shirt

trying to choose a book for my college lesson assignment and i keep picking ones i loved as a kid then realizing i don't remember the actual story, just where i sat when someone read it to me
i want to do a prediction activity but if the cover basically tells you the ending that is not exactly a mystery lol
my sister says second graders don't care about the font on my worksheet, rude but probably correct
spent forty minutes changing it anyway and now i have two pretty headings and no questions
i think i'll read both books out loud to my brother and see where he interrupts, he has never once needed encouragement for that

one of the teachers asked if i could cover her recess again and i said yes before she even finished, then saw her sitting with a coffee while i was walking the kids out and got SO annoyed
which is unfair because she did ask and i literally volunteered my whole mouth
i love being out there with them, J finally joined the soccer game and kept looking over to see if i noticed, of course i noticed!!
but i wanted someone to say thanks or ask if i needed ten minutes inside after, instead i told everyone it was a green zone day
not fully green if we're being honest, maybe that ugly yellow green crayon
