Body
Got to the gym at six and somebody was using the first machine in my normal order. I nearly waited, then used the bike because I was standing there looking ridiculous. Ten minutes later I was warmer than I usually get doing my regular circuit, and my calves were working in a way I could still feel driving to the store. Not bad, just unfamiliar. Doc said that is generally the idea of exercise. By closing I wanted to sit down more than I wanted to check the day's accessory numbers. Took my shoes off on the patio while the grill heated up, which felt solid until I had to go back inside for the thermometer. Concrete is still concrete in socks.
Mind
One guy in the fantasy league found a wording issue in the trade rules and is acting like he discovered buried treasure. I wrote those rules, so I've spent longer checking his argument than the actual trade deserves. He is technically right if you read one sentence by itself. Read the next paragraph and the intention is obvious, except I tell customers all day that intention doesn't change what they signed. Really wish I hadn't said that in the group chat last week. I can propose new wording for next season, but that still leaves this trade. Eleven pages of rules and we're now arguing about the word before. Football remains a relaxing hobby.
Emotion
Doc had a rough case at the clinic and came home quieter than usual. I asked about dinner and gave her three options, then realized she hadn't heard any of them. Usually she tells me the whole story while I'm cooking. Tonight she just leaned against me for a minute in the kitchen and I stopped trying to find the correct next question. I hate when something happens to her that I can't at least help organize. That sounds dumb written down. I wasn't stressed at her, I was worried and had nothing useful to offer. We ate leftovers on the couch. She put her feet under my leg and eventually started complaining about the TV, which was good to hear.
