Listed the trainees, tasks signed off and time already spent supervising. Added my question about coverage and days off. A title is useful; being the permanent answer to every sick call is a separate offer.
Body
Fingertips cold through the first hour. After cleanup I changed out of the damp apron and sat with my training notes. Hands warmed up before I finished counting shifts. Apparently paperwork has one benefit.
Emotion
Asked the manager for an appointment about the assistant role. Felt more exposed doing that than handling a custom order with somebody watching. He said Thursday. Nothing promised, which is better than praise with no date.
