Safety glasses pressed into the bridge of my nose by the final practical. Took them off in the office and found the mark still there after tea. At the allotment I could look up without a timetable asking where I'd gone.
Mind
Asked what cover a four-day pattern would actually require. Not a resignation, not a manifesto, a staffing question. I'd rather discuss the practical gaps than keep guessing they make the whole thing impossible.
Emotion
The idea of a free weekday used to feel faintly disloyal. Today it felt pleasant. I like the lab. I also liked having time to notice the seedlings before the cat attempted quality control on them.
