I was sorting the soft peaches for jam and kept wiping my hands on the same damp patch of my shirt, which was clearly not doing anything, the juice had dried sticky between my fingers and every bit of fuzz found it. The kitchen was warm and I had my boots off, standing on the cool strip of floor by the back door whenever there was room to shift over. I like handling fruit but after a while even the nice smell gets too thick and I need plain air. I went out on the porch with both hands held away from me like I couldn't be trusted to touch anything, then washed up properly. Cold water right up to my elbows felt ridiculously good.

Me senté con mis hijas a ver un capítulo de su serie y acabé apoyando la espalda entera, cosa que no hago ni en el taburete de la tienda, porque allí siempre tengo algo que alcanzar. Al principio notaba cada movimiento del pecho y estuve a punto de mirar el reloj otra vez, pero la pequeña me echó una manta por encima de las piernas y se instaló pegada a mí, de modo que no podía sacar el brazo sin molestarla. Tenía los pies calientes y los dedos secos, algo tirantes por el agua de los cubos. No desapareció toda la tensión, pero al terminar el capítulo me costó incorporarme más por lo a gusto que estaba que por otra cosa.

Papa a décalé notre week-end à Aubagne et j'ai dit pas grave alors que SI, un peu grave, j'avais refusé une sortie parce qu'on devait y aller. Après j'étais énervée contre tout le monde sauf lui, mon frère demandait juste où était son chargeur et je lui ai répondu comme s'il avait annulé le week-end personnellement. Papa a promis une pizza la prochaine fois, c'est gentil mais j'ai pas neuf ans, enfin même à neuf ans la pizza remplace pas tout. Je lui ai envoyé que j'étais déçue, sans les trois blagues que j'avais écrites derrière. Il a répondu qu'il comprenait. Maintenant je sais plus quoi dire, au moins c'est dit.

minha namorada falou que se eu sei levantar parede pros outros também sei dizer o que falta pra terminar nosso quarto na laje. fui responder material e percebi que nem sei mais o que tem guardado lá em cima, só repito material faz tempo. subi pra olhar e fiquei imaginando onde ia a cama, onde batia sol, se uma janela daquele lado ia dar direto na vizinha. aí empolguei e desci contando tudo sem ter anotado o que faltava kkk ela ficou me olhando. amanhã vou subir com papel, porque a parede eu consigo imaginar direitinho mas o tanto de coisa antes dela some da cabeça quando começo a falar da casa pronta

El domingo en softbol agarré una pelota bajita que ya iba dando por perdida, y me quedé contento con las piernas hasta que tocó subir los tres pisos de la casa. Ahí sí pidieron explicación. No era dolor, era ese cansancio parejo después de correr de verdad, distinto al de pasar el turno subiendo y bajando de las cajas. Me senté frente al ventilador con la camiseta pegada y la niña vino a preguntarme si habíamos ganado. Le dije que primero dejara llegar el aire. Ella me echó aire con un cuaderno, riéndose porque según ella yo sonaba como la moto cuando no quiere prender. No ganamos, por cierto. Esa parte se contó después del vaso de agua.

match à l'extérieur et on a dû attendre un moment dans le minibus avant de rentrer, j'avais encore les cuisses chaudes alors que mes mains refroidissaient super vite. pendant la dernière défense je sentais plus vraiment la fatigue, juste le sol sous les chaussures et le moment où il fallait repartir, mais assise là d'un coup mes jambes pesaient une tonne 😅 j'ai étiré les chevilles sous le siège et mangé la barre que j'avais oubliée à la mi-temps. le poignet allait bien aujourd'hui, même sur les passes fortes. douche puis pyjama en rentrant, trop bon de sentir les épaules se relâcher, même pas eu le courage de ranger le sac.

父亲想把店里的旧收音机换掉，说总有杂音。我拿回来试了一晚，靠窗就清楚，放回书房又响，未必是机器坏了。但店里能放的位置就那一处，拿到窗口证明它能用，对父亲也没什么帮助。我原先想给他弄个网络音箱，节目多，也不用调台，后来想起他手上有面粉，伸手一拧就要听见声音，叫他用手机选节目恐怕更麻烦。还是先把旧机拿回店里，换几个位置试，真不行就找个按钮少的，不用把一件小事做成设备升级。

Found one of my son's trainers under the table after his mum picked him up. Rang to say I'd drop it round, and he came to the door laughing because he'd left wearing his slippers and nobody had noticed. Daft little thing, but I was glad to see him again for two minutes. Back home the telly was still on the programme he'd chosen and I left it there while I made tea. Not even something I'd watch. I always think I'll enjoy the quiet, get a few jobs done without being asked where everything is, and then the first evening feels wrong. Don't need a big discussion about it. Just wish the house didn't change so quickly once his bag's gone.

The retired lady from haberdashery came in, looked at the new display and said she'd never have put those colors together, then paused LONG enough for me to start mentally dismantling the entire thing before adding that it worked very well. Honestly, she could charge for suspense. I was chuffed to bits and showed her three other things she'd not asked to see, while she kept trying to get to the buttons. Eleven years on the floor and one good word from her still does that to me. Told my partner on the way home and she said lovely, so I told her exactly how it was lovely. She'd heard me the first time, apparently. Not always easy to tell with quiet people.

Ive been looking at a knitting pattern that says easy and I dont think the lady who wrote it has met anybody normal, theres a little star halfway down and Im meant to go back to it but which bit am I repeating. The tiny hats I can do while talking and watching Corrie, this one has me counting out loud with the telly paused. Kev asked what I was making and I said at present a very long mistake. I want to finish it though because the picture is lovely and the wool is already paid for. Taking it to bingo to ask one of the girls, somebody will know what that star is doing xx
