J'ai revu la liste des livraisons avec mon fils au téléphone. Il me demandait de séparer les commandes certaines des gens qui ont simplement dit qu'ils viendraient. Pour moi un nom écrit était déjà une affaire suivie, mais lui voulait savoir ce qui devait réellement partir cette semaine. J'ai donc fait deux colonnes sur une nouvelle page. C'est plus lisible, je le reconnais. Il ne connaît pas tous les clients et ne peut pas deviner avec qui j'ai parlé devant le maquis. Je lui ai expliqué quelques cas, peut-être trop longtemps, il devait reprendre son travail. Les deux colonnes restent ouvertes. Demain je demanderai les dates exactes à ceux qui passent.

周六打羽毛球，原本说好缺人才让我上，结果有个人迟到，我连续打了两局。第一局总怕球落地，肩膀抬得很高，拍子也握得太紧，后来顾不上想动作，跑起来反而舒服一些。汗顺着眼镜腿往下流，看不清的时候只能停下来擦，没人催我。回去的地铁上，小腿一阵阵发热，手指却很松，和平时开完会那种脑袋空、身体还绷着的累不一样。晚上煮面多加了一点青菜，是真的饿，不是看见时间到了才想起该吃饭。洗完澡坐到桌前，还能闻到毛巾上晒过的味道，电脑没有马上打开。[主要是腿不愿意再站起来拿充电器。]

息子が友達を連れて帰ってきて、おやきを出したら二人であっという間に食べた。もう一個あるよって大きい声で言ったら、息子に聞こえてるからって小声で注意された笑。はいはいと思って台所に戻ったけど、友達がうまいと言ってるのはちゃんと聞こえた。うれしいねえ。あの子、普段はうちのおやきに何も言わないのに、具の説明までしてた。姑にも教えたら、自分が作ったみたいな顔して喜んでた。まあ味は姑の味だけど、今日は私が包んだ分だで。帰りに持たせる袋まで用意したけど、息子に食べきれんと言われた。張り切りすぎた。

My girlfriend fell asleep halfway through telling me about her shift. I had been excited to finally have a whole evening together, and for a minute I was annoyed at her for being tired, which is a pretty unfair thing to be annoyed about. Then she woke just enough to ask if I was still there. That got me right in the chest. I said yes and stayed beside her without restarting the conversation. I love her. I can write that easily enough here, but saying it when she's awake and looking at me is somehow harder than yelling it across a gym. The evening was not what I wanted and I was still glad she came. Both things, apparently.

looking at the Filey caravan brochure again. nice pictures of people sat outside with mugs and nobody dragging a gas bottle anywhere. want to know where you keep wet coats and boots when its raining, because a week at the coast is not all eating breakfast in sunshine whatever these people reckon. our lass says ive turned a holiday into a site inspection. maybe so but if the bed folds out into the place where the table goes then where does the table go. cant tell from the picture. still like the idea of opening the door and not seeing the same van and same street. brochure back in the shed for now.

The phone rang in the night and I was on my feet before I was completely awake. I handled the call fine, but back in bed my shoulders stayed tight and every small sound seemed to be the phone starting again. By morning I wasn't sleepy exactly, just slow. I went for part of my usual run and turned back early because my legs felt disconnected from the plan I'd made for them. At work I can pay close attention to lifting safely and then overlook what broken sleep does to the rest of the day. I ate breakfast at the table instead of standing in the kitchen. That helped more than the second coffee had, though I still left my keys in the refrigerator beside the milk.

Mon frère a appelé d'Italie pour m'expliquer comment je devrais tenir le kiosque. Il a dit ça comme un conseil, mais il n'a posé aucune question sur ma journée avant de commencer ses instructions. J'ai senti la colère monter et ma voix devenir très calme, mauvais signe pour lui. Le plus agaçant, c'est que j'ai ensuite passé une heure à préparer les chiffres qui prouvent qu'il se trompe, alors qu'il ne me les avait même pas demandés. Je veux qu'il reconnaisse ce que j'ai fait, pas seulement qu'il me laisse tranquille. Safi, c'est écrit. Quand il a demandé si notre père allait bien, j'ai répondu gentiment, et je lui en voulais encore.

Salí a caminar por el río sin auriculares porque me olvidé de cargarlos, una tragedia técnica que duró más o menos dos cuadras. Había viento y se me pegaba el pelo a la boca, pero después de tantas horas encerrada me gustó sentir frío en la cara mientras el resto del cuerpo entraba en calor. Caminé más rápido de lo que pensaba, llegué con hambre de verdad y no con esas ganas de picar algo para no abrir un archivo. Mi compañera estaba cocinando y me quedé al lado de la olla como Moneda, las dos pidiendo sin decirlo. Ahora tengo las piernas cansadas de una forma bastante agradable, aunque los zapatos nuevos me hicieron una marca que en el local, misteriosamente, no existía.

I'm trying to remember which dress a customer wore to her daughter's wedding because she wants something entirely different for the son's, and I can see the jacket clearly but not what was underneath. She's certain it was blue. I remember green. We spent ten minutes confidently describing two different weddings before she mentioned the rain and I realised I was thinking of her sister. Same height, very different husbands, I should have placed it sooner. Now I keep seeing that green outfit whenever I look at the new stock. I've asked her to bring a photograph. We'll let the camera settle the family history.

My daughter wanted to race me across the rink, which seemed reasonable until I remembered I was wearing boots and standing on the rubber mat. Went back for skates and did a few slow laps with her. Took a while to quit holding my shoulders so tight. I'm comfortable on a ladder with a tool bag, but a slippery floor apparently requires every muscle I own. Once I found a rhythm it felt pretty good, cold air on my face and warm inside my jacket. She went ahead and circled back to check on me. By the time we left I was hungry enough to finish her leftover sandwich in the parking lot. Very athletic afternoon.
