someone on the forum posted a movement i'd never seen and i spent an hour trying to identify it from the bridge shape before noticing they'd already put the caliber in the caption, excellent observational work from me
still learned something comparing the layouts, though, especially where the parts had to fit around the winding arrangement
i like trying to work out why a thing was made that way before reading the explanation, except i usually get impatient and look it up
saved two pictures to sketch tomorrow, just the big shapes, not another plan for a whole watch i'll never start
kind of want to understand the space before worrying about the tiny parts

息子が学校で使うために、私の仕事について質問してきました。給与計算と答えると、給料を決める人なのかと聞かれたので、決めるのではなく、決まった内容を間違いなく計算する仕事だと説明しました。それでは何を書くのか、という顔をされて少し困りました。話しているうちに息子の鉛筆が動き始め、毎月ちゃんと払う、と書いていました。説明を省き過ぎだと思いましたが、直させませんでした。書き終わってからも紙を置いていったので、夕食前にもう一度読みました。質問があったこと自体、うれしかったのだと思います。

Je regarde les dates de ma formation en prévention et je réalise que l'accord de principe du cabinet ne dit ni qui paie ni comment on remplace mes heures. J'étais déjà en train de choisir un cahier, ce qui est assez ridicule tant que personne n'a confirmé le budget. Dans ma tête la conversation était faite parce qu'on m'avait répondu que c'était une bonne idée. Maintenant j'essaie de formuler une demande claire avec le montant et les jours concernés, sans en faire un dossier de septante pages pour éviter de parler. Mon compagnon dit de poser la question directement. Oui, mais c'est pas lui qui la pose.

اليوم ما كان عندي سيشن، وقعدت عالبلكونة بعد ما خف الحر بقميص خفيف. الهوا عالساعد حسّيته غريب، متعود يكون تحت كم أو إيدي ممدودة تحت اللمبة وأنا عم اشتغل. مدّيت الأصابع على حافة الكرسي، من غير كرة مطاط ومن غير ما أختبر إذا ثابتة. بس مدّيتها. الرقبة كانت بعدها ماسكة من شاشة الوكالة، ولما رجعت ظهري لورا سمعت طقة صغيرة وارتحت شوي. هي جابت مي وقعدت جنبي، قالت شكلك لأول مرة مو ناطر حدا يدق الباب. يمكن لأن الكرسي الفاضي جوّا ما عليه كلاينت اليوم. ضليت قاعد لحد ما بردت القهوة، وبصراحة المي كانت أطيب. خمس دقايق إضافية بلا شاشة ما بدها حجز.

Une femme du lavage est venue avec un peu d'attiéké pour moi parce que j'avais remplacé son tour pendant qu'elle allait régler une affaire à l'école. Ce n'était même pas une grande chose mais elle a bien emballé, elle a dit c'est pour toi seule. Ça m'a fait plaisir ! Dans la cour quand je ramène nourriture chacun regarde déjà combien on sera, là quelqu'un avait compté une seule bouche, la mienne. J'ai ouvert avant de rentrer pour goûter tranquille puis j'ai ri toute seule, on dirait une enfant qui cache son bonbon. J'en ai laissé pour mon mari quand même. Il a demandé l'occasion, j'ai dit aujourd'hui ta femme est une personne importante, mange seulement.

The young coxswain asked how I know a line is going to snag before it does. I said you can see it, which was not much use to him. Been turning that over. It is the way it lies against the fitting, sometimes, or a bit of slack moving where it shouldn't. I could show him tomorrow if there is time alongside, without making it into a lecture. He listens well enough. I find it easier to put things right than explain what I noticed first, and then the chance is gone. Might ask him to talk through what he's looking at. We would at least know where the difference starts.

O gato da vizinha dorme na minha cadeira mas vai comer a casa dela. Boa organização, não há dúvida. Hoje ela veio buscá-lo e perguntou se eu lhe dava comida. Disse que não, só umas vezes, que afinal quer dizer que sim. Ficámos ali a discutir a dieta de um bicho que tem duas casas e não paga nenhuma. Agora deixei de pôr o pratinho para ver se ele continua a aparecer. Continua, já está na cadeira outra vez. A minha filha diz que ele gosta de mim. Pode ser, mas também é a janela onde bate o sol à tarde e eu não lhe peço grande coisa. Era capaz de gostar de uma casa assim também.

Reached behind the passenger seat for my football bag and got the usual tight feeling through the right shoulder, which apparently has a maximum operating angle. Fine going forwards, less keen on the other direction. At five a side it loosened up while I was warming up and I forgot about it until we finished. Mostly noticed how hot I was, despite having contributed very little to the score. Knee clicked getting into the car but wasn't swollen. Went home starving and ate standing at the kitchen counter, still in my kit. Fiancée asked why I couldn't sit down like a normal person. No technical explanation available.

给舞队换队形这事，站着说的时候个个明白，一放音乐就有人往老位置跑，俺还以为她们没记，今天画到纸上才发现，自己把中间两个人的路安排重了，难怪碰肩膀！我拿花生米当人，一个个往前挪，婆婆顺手吃了一颗，俺说这个是二婶子的位置，不能吃，她笑得不行。现在最麻烦的不是谁记不住，是前排往后走的时候后排还没让开，得多留两拍，可音乐到那儿又变快。先把纸留着，明晚叫两个人早点来试，不能光在群里说了。

I am sorting the ukay clothes by size but one blouse says medium and can fit only my left arm, while another medium is practically a curtain. The chat buyers ask whether it will fit them and I cannot answer from a label that tells fairy tales. My daughter says measure across and post the numbers, simple. Simple until I remember which people will ask if that number goes all the way around hahaha. So I took a photo showing where the tape sits, then made the explanation shorter because even I did not want to read it. Same as teaching my babies, show first then talk. Except my buyers are adults and will still ask what colour the blue one is.
