safemode Mind

the crime drama has given its detective a broken laptop and apparently that means he can discover any secret the writer needs within thirty seconds. my husband says i'm not meant to watch it as a repair estimate. i know, but i keep thinking about which bits of a story i accept without question because they're outside my own little patch. the hospital scenes probably annoy somebody else just as much. tonight i tried following who wanted what instead of inspecting the equipment, and the sister is plainly hiding something, unless they only want me to think that. i can leave a machine overnight when i'm stuck. fictional relatives, apparently not.

on a marché avec Léa sans vraiment décider où aller et j'ai fini par regarder mon téléphone pour voir la distance, réflexe de l'entrepôt mdr. sauf que là les jambes étaient pas lourdes pareil, j'avais pas mes chaussures de sécurité ni l'impression de devoir arriver vite. on s'est posé pour manger et en me relevant j'ai senti la cheville tirer un peu, rien de fou, juste le vieux souvenir du tacle. Léa marchait plus vite que moi après ça et se moquait parce que je lui avais proposé une grande balade. rentrés à l'appart j'avais faim encore, elle non. mon corps sait très bien compter les kilomètres quand c'est pour demander un deuxième repas.

Le jeune que je forme à la station m'a dit qu'il avait réglé son problème sans m'appeler. J'ai répondu parfait, c'est exactement ce qu'il faut, et je le pensais. Mais ensuite il est allé expliquer le dépannage à un collègue pendant que je rangeais mes affaires, et je me suis trouvé un peu bête avec mon sac. D'habitude c'est moi qui raconte ce genre de chose. Je suis content pour lui, vraiment, seulement je ne savais plus très bien quoi faire à côté. J'ai proposé un café et ils sont venus tous les deux. Il a fallu que je me retienne de reprendre l'histoire depuis le début.

J'ai retrouvé dans un ancien carnet de cours une phrase soulignée trois fois, et je ne comprends plus pourquoi elle m'avait paru si importante. La phrase, je la comprends, c'est mon enthousiasme de l'époque que je ne retrouve pas. En revanche, je me souviens du garçon assis à côté de moi qui dessinait pendant tout le cours. Drôle de mémoire, elle garde les bêtises et abandonne les arguments. J'ai relu la page avant et la page après, puis commencé à noter mes questions dans la marge. Au bout d'un moment j'avais davantage écrit contre le cours que pour le résumer. Mon père appellerait ça enfin lire sérieusement.

En rangeant un carton, j'ai trouvé une ordonnance de mon mari, avec son écriture pressée et une lettre reprise plus fortement que les autres. J'ai regardé ce trait longtemps. Les médicaments ne m'intéressaient pas, pour une fois; c'était sa façon de tenir le stylo que je revoyais, la main déjà prête à partir pendant qu'il terminait sa phrase. Il m'a manqué d'une manière très ordinaire, sans grand chagrin, avec l'envie absurde d'aller lui montrer le papier. J'avais prévu de téléphoner à ma fille et j'ai attendu un peu, de peur qu'elle entende quelque chose dans ma voix et s'inquiète. Puis je l'ai appelée. Nous avons parlé des enfants, et cela m'a fait du bien aussi.

anak telepon dari Surabaya bukan minta apa-apa, cuma bilang tadi makan pecel yang sambalnya mirip punya nenek. Aku senang sekali sampai mau langsung panggil ibu, tapi dia bilang jangan dulu, nanti diceramahi soal makan teratur. Jadi kami cerita berdua, soal warung itu dan orang bengkel yang ambil kerupuk terlalu banyak. Biasanya aku yang banyak tanya dan dia jawab pendek, kali ini ada ceritanya sendiri. Setelah selesai baru kubilang ke ibu bahwa masakannya terkenal sampai Surabaya. Ibu langsung ingin kirim sambal. Aku bilang tunggu dulu, padahal sudah ikut mencari wadah yang tutupnya rapat.

في كتاب التشريح رسم لليد رجعت له ثلاث مرات، أحاول أفهم كيف تتحرك الأصابع من غير أن أفكر في كل واحد وحده. رسمت العظام في الهامش ثم حركت يدي فوق الصفحة، لكن حفظ الأسماء لا يعني أني فهمت الحركة. هذا يقلقني شوية لأنني في الدروس أطمئن إذا قدرت نعاود الكلام كما هو. جربت نشرح لأخي الصغير فطلب مني لماذا الإبهام مختلف، وسكت أنا التي كنت داخلة بدور الطبيبة العالمة! باش نبحث عن رسم أوضح، موش عن جواب نحفظه ونقوله له فقط. المشكلة أني كلما أفتح الكتاب على سؤال ألقى ثلاثة آخرين، وبعدها ألوم نفسي لأني لم أراجع الفيزياء. يلزمني وقت للفضول أيضا، لكن الجدول على الحائط ما فيهش هذه الخانة.

got on the floor to play wrestling with the kid and she had me pinned before i even knew which guy i was supposed to be. knees didnt love the tile so we moved the whole promotion to the rug. funny how i can stand at sauté all night but getting up from there takes sound effects now. she climbed on my back and i crawled one lap of the room, arms shaking by the end, not from a pan for once. sat down sweating and drank her tiny cup of water because she said that was my corner. decent service. later in the shower i found a plastic wrestler in my shirt somehow. guy worked a double.

Dry for once. Took the dog round Queens Park without checking the pace or adding a diversion to make it count as exercise. He investigated one tree for long enough that I noticed how firmly I was gripping the lead. Loosened my hand. My back was stiff from the afternoon's desk session but eased once we reached the slope. On the way down I shortened my stride and the knees were less argumentative. Home with warm legs and cold ears. Sat on the floor to untie a boot and the lurcher immediately occupied my usual seat. Getting up again required the coffee table. A reasonably sound body, provided suitable furniture is available.
