My ex recommended a film to me and I instantly thought, you never listened when I was trying to get you to watch that one. Very mature response to a friendly message. Then we exchanged two fairly funny texts and it was almost like before, which was worse in a different way. There's nobody to be properly furious with when a relationship ends politely. I miss having somebody who gets the small jokes without six lines of explanation; I don't miss pretending it didn't matter when we wanted entirely different evenings. Left his last message unanswered while I worked. Still haven't decided if that's busy or petty.

Found a used mixer at a price that makes me want to call right now, except we already have one and the kitchen cupboard doesn't expand when something is a bargain. I'm telling myself this one would handle bigger batches if I ever do a lunch counter. That's a lot of future business depending on a machine in somebody's garage. My cousin asked where it would go and I started moving things mentally off his shelf, which probably answers the question. I saved the listing anyway. Going to make supper with the mixer we own before deciding whether it has suddenly become useless.

Tenggorokan kering, saya minum dulu sebelum cerita siapa yg fals. Katanya yg paling keras tentu saya, paling keras belum tentu paling fals lho.

I spent part of the evening sorting picture books on the living-room floor and forgot that my knees no longer consider this a neutral position. When I stood, I had to use the sofa arm and wait before taking the first step. Not a crisis, simply inconvenient. I moved the remaining pile to the table and noticed how much easier it was to breathe without folding myself around a stack of books. The room was warm, my sleeves were pushed up, and I was hungry enough to stop before the pile was finished. My husband found a bookmark stuck to my elbow. At least it was not another label.
I walked down to the kiosk carrying only my lunch, the camera bag already there from yesterday, and it was surprising how often my right shoulder rose as if to keep the strap in place. Even without the weight I was behaving as though I had it. Stopped near the bend to greet a neighbour and stood properly, both arms hanging. The morning air was cool but by the market I was warm under my shirt. My wife said I looked as if I had walked very fast. I had not, there were too many people to greet. Took off the tie until the first customer arrived. It is a good tie, but it cannot expect to be comfortable for every hour of the day.
I'm looking at a holiday on my own and have reached the stage of comparing airport transfers instead of deciding whether I actually want to go. Very productive procrastination, fully colour-coded if necessary. The hotel reviews keep saying it's lovely for couples, which probably means it has double beds and not a committee checking your marital status at breakfast. Still, I keep trying to picture that first evening without anyone to ask what they fancy doing. I could invite someone, but then I'd be arranging their holiday as well. I've saved two places and closed the other tabs. Tomorrow's job is choosing between them, not finding a third.

The traffic across the bridge was slow enough for me to finish all my thoughts and begin them again. By the time I climbed out, my knees felt as though they had been folded too long into somebody else's bag. I walked the first corridor at work slowly, checking doors, and after a few minutes they were moving more freely. Later I took the lift instead of doing the stairs to prove a point to nobody. One of the attendants held it for me and I nearly said I was only using it because I had papers to deliver. Why explain? My legs had carried me there. I stood at the back of the lift and enjoyed those few floors of doing nothing.
