The new officer disagreed with me in a meeting and had the figures to support it. I was pleased, then briefly irritated that she had found the point I had missed, then pleased again once I stopped being ridiculous. She didn't make a performance of it. We changed the recommendation and moved on. Later she thanked me for backing her explanation, as though I had done something generous by accepting arithmetic. I enjoyed the rest of the afternoon. It is satisfying to work with someone who can argue clearly without turning disagreement into a personal emergency. I told my partner this and he asked whether I was describing myself. Not entirely.

At the pub quiz I supplied an answer confidently, talked a friend out of hers, and was completely wrong. Normally that would be mildly irritating. Tonight I kept bringing it up until she said she hadn't filed a formal complaint and would I please let her finish her drink. Felt embarrassed then, not about the answer so much as needing everyone to know I don't usually do that. We were nowhere near winning anyway. Later she got an obscure television question right and I was genuinely delighted, which was a relief. I can still enjoy a night on which I am not the useful one, provided nobody asks me to demonstrate it too often.

после смены сняла кроссы и полчаса ходила по квартире в носках потому что пол холодный и это просто збс))) потом села чистить крысам клетку а одна залезла мне под рукав и щекотала лапами до локтя, я дёрнулась и рассыпала наполнитель, уборка пошла в другую сторону короче. кисть ещё ныла от сканера но когда сидишь дома и никто не считает твою скорость уже не так бесит. в душ пошла без музыки, уши и так весь день слушали всё подряд. после воды прям разморило, собиралась красить волосы а лежу с полотенцем на голове и мне норм, краска никуда не опаздывает

Ma mère a voulu parler aux enfants au téléphone. Ils répondaient en français et elle répétait en frison, doucement, puis ils sont partis chercher un jouet à montrer sans expliquer ce que c'était. J'ai traduit mais ça m'a fait un truc pas agréable, d'être au milieu de chaque phrase. Avec moi elle peut râler vite, avec eux elle prépare ses mots comme pour des visiteurs. Après l'appel j'ai été de mauvaise humeur pour une chaussure qui traînait et le petit n'avait rien fait d'autre que laisser sa chaussure. Je l'ai ramassée moi-même. Ma mère rappelle dimanche, j'espère que les enfants auront envie de rester un peu plus, pas seulement pour dire bonjour.

On a couru au bord de la rivière et pour une fois j'avais pas les jambes lourdes en partant. Mon pote parlait tout le temps, moi je répondais un mot sur trois, mais j'arrivais à suivre sans avoir l'impression de traîner mes chaussures. Au retour on a accéléré jusqu'au panneau, juste pour voir, et là j'ai bien senti les cuisses chauffer. J'aime ce moment où j'ai trop chaud pour garder le sweat mais où l'air sur les bras est encore froid. En rentrant j'avais une faim sérieuse. J'ai mangé mon omelette directement dans la poêle, debout, puis je me suis assis parce que ça tremblait un peu dans les jambes. Bonne fatigue. Le canapé risque de me garder jusqu'à ce soir.

One of the boarding dogs knows the sound of its owner's car before it comes round the corner. No response to three others, then straight up at the right one. I've been listening myself and can't pick it out until it's near enough to see. Same with my lad coming up the stairs; I know when he's dragging his feet without looking, though I'd struggle to explain which bit of the sound tells me. Clients sometimes ask if a dog understands a whole sentence when it's probably noticed the shoes going on. Mind, I do that too. Mum says she's only calling briefly and I hear her settling into the chair. I put the kettle on before she's finished saying hello.

Eu podia ter ido para a cadeira da cozinha, mas ali pegava vento e ninguém precisava passar atrás de mim. Depois levantei devagar por causa do joelho esquerdo. Os primeiros passos foram duros. Dentro de casa já estava andando normal. Minha filha reclamou do tênis largado na entrada. Fui buscar. O dia acabou com mais essa caminhada.

My ankle held up through five-a-side, but the left hamstring has been making its position clear every time I get out of a classroom chair. During the game I felt reasonably quick, which may say more about the opposition than my fitness. Today I bent to pick up a dropped pen and had to reconsider the entire movement halfway down. A pupil offered to get it and was mercifully polite about the arrangement. I walked home rather than catching a lift, slowly enough for the tightness to ease. The trouble is that by Wednesday I'll remember running around, not negotiating with a pen, and decide I don't need the extra few minutes warming up.

j'ai encore cherché une phrase pour la demande et elles me paraissent toutes débiles quand je les dis dans la voiture. si je fais un grand discours elle va croire que je récite un truc trouvé sur internet, si je dis juste tu veux ça fait comme quand je lui propose une saucisse. pourtant la question est pas compliquée. c'est après que je sais pas quoi faire, où mettre la boîte, faut se lever ou rester assis, putain on devrait pas penser à autant de détails. au boulot je montre avec les mains et on comprend. là les mains restent sur le volant et la boîte reste où elle est.
