My daughter brought dinner instead of letting me make it, and I spent the first five minutes telling her she should have saved her money. She finally said she wanted to feed her dad, not apply for reimbursement. That got me. I was touched, but also embarrassed because I'd made a nice thing sound like bad judgment on her part. We ate at the folding table while my grandson explained why his portion could not touch the sauce. I wanted to thank her again without turning dinner into a speech. Ended up asking where she got it, then heard myself say it was good three separate times.

Je cherche pourquoi je retiens sans effort les conventions manquantes du service et plus du tout l'intrigue du roman que Jean-Marc m'a prêté. Trois soirs que je reprends le même chapitre, et chaque nom me fait revenir en arrière pour vérifier s'il s'agit du frère ou du voisin. Ce n'est même pas un roman compliqué. Dès que je pose le livre, en revanche, je retrouve la phrase exacte d'un enseignant au guichet. J'ai essayé de lire avant les informations plutôt qu'après. Résultat : j'ai pensé aux informations que je ratais. Bref, le frère pourrait bien être le voisin, je vérifierai demain.

Our daughter called to ask how I make the lemon bars, and I was tickled until she said she was bringing them to someone else's mother's house. Isn't that silly? I want her to have friends and invitations, yet for a moment I felt left out of an afternoon I could not possibly have attended. I gave her the recipe and asked whether they had a mixer, as though the whole visit depended on that. Later she sent a picture of the pan and they looked very good, a little pale at the edges, but I did not say so. I told her I wished I could have one. That was the truth. I would have liked to be sitting at her kitchen table while she cut them.

on a couru pour le tram avec ma pote et j'etais persuadee que ce serait facile vu le hand sauf que j'avais mon sac qui tapait dans le dos et une chaussure mal serree 😭 une fois dedans je sentais mon coeur jusque dans la gorge et j'arrivais pas a rigoler sans reprendre de l'air au milieu. au gymnase je cours puis je ralentis puis je repars, la j'ai fonce tout droit comme une debile. quand on s'est assises mes jambes etaient chaudes mais mes mains tremblaient un peu en ouvrant la bouteille. ma pote m'a demande si c'etait ca le sport de haut niveau mdr j'ai dit oui et surtout faut pas filmer

Un compañero de la prepa subió fotos de su título y le puse felicidades porque neta me da gusto, no es que quiera que le vaya mal. Pero luego me quedé bien agüitado viendo a su mamá abrazarlo, pensando que la mía también habría hecho un escándalo bonito. Me preguntó por qué estaba tan callado en la cena y le dije que un cliente me había hecho esperar, que también pasó pero no era eso. Me da coraje ponerme así con algo bueno de un amigo. Al rato me mandó mensaje para ver si nos juntamos y ya estaba inventando una excusa de trabajo, cuando ni siquiera sé si me va a tocar repartir ese día.

Three viewings and one pair of shoes chosen entirely for appearances, so naturally the longest garden belonged to that pair. By the time I got back to the car my toes were pressing together and I could feel every little stone I'd walked over. Swapped into the old boots for the last appointment and suddenly remembered that feet are meant to have room. At home I put them up while the spaniel inspected my ankles, which apparently contained the full county's news. My hip was stiff getting off the sofa but settled once I moved about. I rather enjoyed standing in the kitchen in socks, no flattering posture required, eating a piece of cheese before supper.

Planning the Wari with my daughter in my head again. I remember walking with my aunt at eleven and assume she will like the same things. But when I mentioned it, her first question was whether her friend could come. I started explaining that it is not a school picnic. Later thought, at eleven I was also interested in who would walk beside me and what we would eat. The certainty came afterwards. I cannot book that experience for someone else like transport to site. Need to ask what she actually wants to know before giving the whole programme. She has not refused. I have already prepared arguments for a refusal that has not happened.

Beim neuen Puzzle passen zwei blaue Teile beinahe an dieselbe Stelle, und ich habe gestern zwanzig Minuten versucht, das falsche richtig zu machen. Die Farbe hat gestimmt, also sollte der Rest gefälligst auch stimmen. Heute mit Tageslicht war gleich zu sehen, dass dort noch ein Stück Wolke hingehört. Ich puzzle seit Jahrzehnten und mache den gleichen Quatsch immer noch. Jetzt liegen die ähnlichen Teile extra in einem Deckel, damit ich sie nicht dauernd wieder anprobiere. Die Tochter sagt, ich könnte aufs Bild schauen. Könnte ich. Aber dann wäre der halbe Ärger weg und der halbe Spaß wahrscheinlich auch. Noch ungefähr sechshundert Teile.
