كل ما تصويرة تلقى برشة تفاعل نبدأ نخمم نعاود نفس القطعة، حتى قبل ما يسأل حد على شرائها. نعرف اللي الفرجة موش طلبية، لكن الأرقام تدخل في راسي أسرع من حساب الطين والكهرباء. اليوم رجعت لدفتر البيع باش نشوف شنوّة خرج بالحق من الأتيليي، موش شنوّة عجب الناس على التليفون. لقيت قطع بسيطة باعت في هدوء وأنا كنت ناسيتها خاطر ما صورتهاش مليح. ما نحبش نقطع مع الإنستغرام، منه جاوني حرفاء مهمين. نحب برك كي نختار الدفعة الجاية يكون عندي سبب أوضح من إني شفت رقم طالع وحبيت نلحقه. ما زلت ما قررتش الألوان الكل، خليت بلاصة لقطعتين نجرب فيهم على خاطري.

One of the able seamen sat across from me after most people had left the mess and asked about the food I miss from home. Not where I'm really from or why I'm so quiet. Just the food. We talked longer than I expected, and he remembered something I'd said last week about my aunt. I felt comfortable, which surprised me enough that I noticed it while it was happening. Usually I only recognize that afterward. When another group came in, the conversation got louder and I left, but I wasn't relieved to escape this time. I would have stayed if it had remained the two of us. I've been thinking about that more than anything he actually said.

J'ai passé une partie de la matinée accroupi au bord de l'eau pour photographier une larve, sans prélèvement à faire cette fois, donc sans raison professionnelle de prolonger l'affaire. Le poignet droit commençait à tirer en tenant l'appareil au même angle. J'ai changé d'appui, posé le coude sur le genou, et c'est alors que j'ai remarqué comme mes doigts étaient froids. Ils fonctionnaient très bien, simplement moins vite que mes intentions. En remontant le chemin, j'ai gardé l'appareil dans sa housse et les mains dans les poches. Il m'a fallu presque toute la montée pour retrouver le plaisir banal de les ouvrir complètement.

Ma fille a demandé à faire une couture droite sur une chute. J'avais déjà préparé dans ma tête tout ce qui pouvait rater, puis elle a commencé avec beaucoup de sérieux et j'ai regardé ses mains sans parler. Ce n'était pas tout à fait droit, mais elle a ri du petit détour comme si cela ne disait rien de grave sur elle. J'ai aimé la voir ainsi. Quand ma femme est arrivée, ma fille lui a montré le morceau et dit que j'expliquais bien. J'allais répondre que c'était facile. Je n'ai rien dit, ce qui était peut-être mieux, mais j'aurais voulu savoir accepter sa phrase sans devenir si gêné.

ibu kos manggil mas IT lagi gara-gara wifi sudah lancar, terus ngasih lauk tambahan. senang sih, apalagi tadi uang makan sudah kuhitung pas, tapi aku langsung bilang nanti kalau rusak panggil aja kapan pun. habis itu nyesel sendiri karena besok ada tugas yang belum selesai. bukan nggak mau bantu, cuma kalau dipuji sedikit kok mulutku langsung menawarkan seluruh hidup wkwk. makan lauknya sambil kepikiran ibu di rumah yang juga suka nyelipin lebih kalau anak tetangga bantu angkat dagangan. jadi kangen. mau telepon, tapi takut kedengaran manja cuma karena dikasih makan, akhirnya kirim foto piring dan ibu balas suruh jangan makan cepat-cepat.

la coiffeuse m'a coupé les cheveux dans la cuisine et j'ai pas bougé pendant vingt minutes, enfin sauf quand les petits cheveux sont descendus dans le col, ça gratte un truc pareil. elle me disait de baisser la tête et je sentais le cou tirer, pas méchant mais raide. après elle a passé la main derrière pour enlever ce qui restait et là j'aurais pu dormir sur la chaise. douche chaude ensuite, plus rien dans le col, t-shirt propre. c'est quand même autre chose que rentrer avec toute la poussière du chantier. j'ai regardé derrière dans le miroir, elle a laissé un peu plus long. ça joue.

The parish group needs a head count for lunch, and I have not replied because I do not know whether I will work that afternoon. The difference is two hours, perhaps three including the drive. I can estimate the earnings I would lose, but the estimate changes with airport demand, so looking at last week's figures does not settle it. I have opened the message several times and put it aside. They need a number for the food, not an explanation of my schedule. I could give them an answer now and arrange the work around it. I will decide before the deadline tonight.

以前带过的一个小朋友，他妈发来视频，说他在家教爸爸滑雪，站在地毯上喊的那几句话跟我一模一样，连我那个来来来都学了！我笑得饭差点吃不下，拉着我爸看了两遍，他说你平时就这么大嗓门。我是挺高兴的，不是因为家长夸我认真，是那孩子过了这么久还记得我，视频最后还问什么时候找姐姐玩。我教的时候老怕他嫌烦，一个动作重复好多遍，没想到他记住的是好玩的。我给他回了个视频，录第一遍还挺端着，第二遍就正常说话了。发完以后等他回消息等了半天，后来想起来，人家小孩又不是随时拿手机的。

I've read the same section of the plumbing code four times and can remember the example our instructor told us, but not the rule underneath it. I keep wanting to turn studying into an interesting conversation, which is convenient because nobody asks me to remember the numbers during the conversation. Tried covering the page and writing what I knew. Not much, as it turns out. Now I've got three questions on a card by the bed, and they're irritating me because I can see where I guessed. I want to get through this part without needing somebody to make it entertaining first. At the moment I'm writing about it instead of opening the book, so the progress report is mixed.

名古屋からの帰り道で、昔よく寄った食堂の看板が別の名前になっとった。前の店の名前を思い出そうとしたら、味噌汁の器と駐車場の段差ばかり出てきて、肝心な名前が出てこん。何十回も行ったのにな。女房に場所を説明したけど、そこは私は行っとらん、と言われた。そりゃそうや、仕事中の昼飯やった。唐揚げに小さいレモンが付いとって、いつも車に戻ってから手が酸っぱい匂いになったのは覚えとる。次にあの道を走ったら、看板を見る前に思い出せんかなと思っとる。名前は短かった気がする。それも怪しいけど。
