Effect
The Pill grants two new abilities to your breathing to be used at will throughout the day. The first is the capacity to observe a small portion of the Void inside you.
The second is the capacity to digest manifested versions of yourself referred to as Me’s. Both actions are performed through your respiration alone and require only minutes. With repetition and experience, they improve.
Me's
Within you exist multiple versions of yourself. They are born all the time thru past experiences, memory, inherited material, expected futures, and significant encounters. Me’s manifest themselves as recurring thoughts, persistent and difficult emotional states, or chronic bodily pain and patterns. These are your signals to start playing. The Me's surface when they have something to say. The purpose of the game is direct dialogue with your Me’s.
Void
Within you exists the Void. It allows all the atoms in the world to assemble and take form. Your Void carries no memory and contains no fear. Through respiration, the Void becomes perceptible. You only need to see a small portion of it for you to be able to embody your Self. The Self does not identify with what it observes or talks to. From this position alone, all the Me's can be addressed. Do not talk to your Me's if you haven't touched the Void inside you.
Talking
Connected to the Void, as the Self, address the Me that manifested itself. Ask three questions at least. "Can I talk to you ?". "What are you trying to accomplish with your actions ?". "What are you afraid would happen if you stopped ?". Allow uninterrupted expression. Communication occurs through the channel that presents itself thru the Me. It can be thought, sensation, imagery, or affect and emotions. Do not change the channel and let yourself go to what has to be said.
Digestion
After dialogue, it's time to part with your Me. Say : "Goodbye. Thank you for what you have done for me. You may return if you need to talk. I will remain available." Through respiration, the Me is gradually digested. What integrates with your living structure is assimilated. What does not integrate is broken down and reorganized. Nothing essential is destroyed. Me’s may return. Repetition reduces urgency over time.
Characters
You can maintain up to three versions of yourself simultaneously. Your character may take any form of you at any age. It may be real, fictional, admired, loathed, or feared. It may represent a quality you wish to embody or a person that unsettles you. Once named and described, the Character becomes one of your Me's and can be addressed and digested from the position of the Self.
Rules
This is an anonymous collective game. Players and associated Characters are deleted after four months of continuous inactivity. After two years of continuous presence, a Player becomes a Witness. Witnesses moderate Players and Characters. Witnessing is observational only. It does not evaluate or judge. Only humans can be Witnesses. All real world actions remain the sole responsibility of the Player.
